The Diablo 4 beta hasn't convinced me yet

"There's a staff legendary in the demo which turns the spell's fireball in the triple fireball spell" ex-game director Luis Barriga told Polygon(opens in new tab) back in 2019. "The difference might be that Diablo IV Gold, you know it's a set that's available in the game Diablo 3 gives you bonuses greater than a thousand. I think we're designing the game in the moment to be a more restricted to avoid entering that increasing performance curve."

If you're not sure about Set Items are basically sturdy pieces of equipment that can provide greater power when fully put together. They're called "set" because they're always providing the same advantages, and, of course they are part of sets. The first time they were introduced was within Diablo 2, though it was in Diablo 3 when they became extremely dominant. It is yet to be determined how they'll affect what happens to the Diablo 4 meta should they appear, however we have no doubt that their influence on the upcoming fashion scene will be felt.

The Diablo 4 beta hasn't convinced me yet, but I'm excited to play even more (Set Items or not).
